I AM JOEL IRIARTE

I’m Joel Iriarte—an undefeated professional boxer with every win coming by knockout. I’ve been in this sport since I was a kid, and over the years, I’ve built more than a record—I’ve built a purpose.

My journey in boxing started with a deep love for the sport and a work ethic shaped by my roots. As an amateur, I earned 280 wins, 17 national titles, 3 international medals—including two gold—and 2 Outstanding Boxer Awards. I spent four years representing Team USA, serving as captain for two of them. Every step of that path taught me discipline, leadership, and how to rise through pressure.

But I always knew the fight couldn’t stop at the ring.

That’s why I founded The Warmup Project—a movement focused on giving back, creating access, and using fitness as a tool for change. Through mentorship, free workshops, and adaptive training, we support at-risk youth and individuals with developmental disabilities across Kern County. We’re building futures through fitness, one rep at a time.

Out of that mission came Warmup Athletics, a gym I opened in Bakersfield. It’s not just a training center—it’s a home base for athletes of all levels and abilities. Whether you’re chasing a championship or just stepping into fitness for the first time, there’s a place for you here. Especially if you’ve ever been overlooked.

I’m proud of where I come from—my Mexican roots, my Sinaloaense bloodline—and I carry that with me every time I fight. My goal isn’t just to become a multi-division world champion—it’s to use my platform to uplift my community, shine a light on stories that deserve to be heard, and lead by example.

This is bigger than boxing.
And I’m just getting started…
